Caterpillar Narrow Aisle Forklifts Maryland
Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is used for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This kind is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, such as warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires which make maneuvering very easy.
The operator of this type of forklift generally stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the rear. This design allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down version generally has four wheels.
Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Machines that are electrically powered do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the suitable option for closed places such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Then again, the diesel version is not suggested for indoor use because it can produce exhaust and be quite noisy.
