The lift truck application all around the world has grown in insurmountable measures when it comes to the warehousing and manufacturing businesses. A lift truck is a powered industrial truck used for raising and moving items. The machine has gradually changed and these days there are numerous modern designs for lifting and transporting objects. Over the past decades, the machine has significantly grown and the designs have evolved so there are various trucks and numerous modern designs to meet each specific application. Loads are capable of lifting and reaching to greater heights than ever before.

Lift truck units are available in a large variety of different power types like: gasoline, diesel, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP units. The load capacities of these models range significantly as there are many manufacturers building and designing them. For example, some units can reach a height of over 3000 mm or more than 10,000 kg.

The forklift truck features consist of an overhead guard, mast and axles, the counterweight, and the truck frame to which the base of the power source and all aforementioned items are attached. On the rear side there is a counterweight connected to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the cargo which is being lifted so as to keep the machine stable.

The operator sits inside a cab and uses the controls to dictate the equipment's movements. The overhead is another feature, that is a metal roof in order to protect the operator from falling things. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the frame and the mast. These tilts turn the mast so as to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly that raises and lowers the load with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are numerous warehouses or businesses in the manufacturing fields which utilize lift trucks for transportation and lifting every day. Nowadays, there are a lot of different used and new lift trucks offered in the market at competitive prices. Those who depend on transportation and occasional lifting can use rental lift trucks as they are available as well.
