A forklift to be a successful unit should be built powerful to last the working environments for many hours of use. It should be able to transport loads quickly and efficiently too. The equipment has to be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator too.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and reliable. The powertrain requires the power to continually provide great durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with really tough shafts and strong gears. The drive, steer axle, engine and transmission are all isolated to lessen vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
Mazda and GM Gas & LP Engines:
The Mazda LP and GM Gas Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which minimize wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides exceptional torque. Amazing fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts which maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is available electronic inching that automatically adjusts so as to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission uses computer-controlled power reversal to extend the life of the tires, to eliminate shock loading and increase durability. Moreover, the auto deceleration feature lessens both brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Engineered for extra strength, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are entirely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. What's more, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included many safety features and ergonomic features. These machines would handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the length of their shift.
