Types of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are among the most frequently utilized kinds of crane in the construction industry. They are used to construct everything from freeway overpasses and roadways to skyscrapers and buildings.

There is a large range of crane units, styles and sizes available on the market. There are many different types in order to serve a variety of different reasons in the industry. Choosing the right kind of crane is really vital for making sure that the material can be transported safely and efficiently to the place it has to get to in order for the construction process to begin.

Truck Cranes
Normally, truck cranes have 2 different cabs. One cab is for controlling the crane and the other is for driving the truck when the unit is in transport mode. These cranes are really helpful for building locations where a crane is needed in many different locations for the duration of the build. This is because of the fact that the crane is capable of being easily driven from one location to another.

Cranes can also be transported to various construction locations on the road since they drive themselves, that eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own really reduces transport costs at the end of the day.

The truck crane however is not stable enough to handle all the major loads that a hydraulic crane could handle. Thus, to be able to fix this problem, outriggers can be extended from the deck. The outriggers use hydraulic pressure in order to lift the truck slightly off of the ground, making it stable and balanced.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
Crawler cranes feature big tracks on the bottom of the crane. These massive tracks are similar to the ones seen on other construction machinery like backhoes and bulldozers. The tracks enable the crane to move around a construction site successfully.
