A kind of device in the material handling business which can be used to raise and move loads from one place to another is known as a forklift. Every forklift component has a particular function. Various components can be used to transport the load horizontally or vertically.
Mast
The forklift mast refers to all the parts which lower and lift the load. There are various kinds of masts utilized for lifting loads to various heights: duplex, triplex, quad and simplex.
Power Supply
There are four different ways you can power a forklift: electric, gas, propane and diesel. The battery is situated in the cab underneath the seat. The propane tank is located on the rear of the truck. The fuel tank on diesel and gas forklifts is beneath the rear of the truck.
Cab
Located in the middle of the truck is the forklift cab. This is where the operator sits and accesses all the informational gauges and controls. The gas pedal, steering wheel, tilting controls, brake and lifting controls are all situated in the cab.
Frame
Carrying all the largest forklift components is the truck frame. This includes the counterweights situated at the rear which prevents the truck from tipping over when loaded. The frame consists of the overhead guard which protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the wheels, driveshaft and axles.
