TCM Used Forklifts Maryland

The basic structure of the categorization of lift trucks comprise the following:

Standard Trucks: Standard Trucks make up the strong and big models which are often used in factories. Standard trucks could usually lift weights between 3,000 pounds to 4,000 pounds and their blades can lift loads up to a height of 20 feet.

Reach Truck: The reach truck or narrow aisle forklift are generally smaller, more maneuverable and operates mostly on electricity. These kinds of machinery are particularly designed for pallet storage. They are capable of lifting cargo up to 40 feet in height. If you want raising and unloading weights quickly and over long distances, than a reach truck would not be the right choice for your needs.

Order Selector: Very narrow aisle forklifts or order selectors can be used to move racked loads that are much smaller than pallet size. Order Selectors are unique in that they are capable of raising both the cargo and the truck driver up to 40 feet in height.

Motorized Pallet Trucks: The motorized pallet truck has been called by a lot of names including: riders, walkies and walkie riders. These units are appropriately named due to the fact that the driver is not required to sit in the equipment in order to operate it. Instead, the operator walks along the side of the truck as it transports the cargo.

Swing Mast Trucks: Swing Mast Trucks are similar in appearance to typical units of trucks. These are equipment with a narrow aisle and have masts which could swing up to 90 degrees, only in one direction.

Turret Trucks: Turret Trucks are also designed with a very narrow aisle. Similar to an Order Selector, they could raise the driver and the cargo. Furthermore, these trucks can swing their forks 90 degree on each side.

To determine what model in particular would best suit your businesses needs, visit a local dealer to check out all the various models. If you would like to lease before you buy, this is a really great option for you to be able to try out various units before making such a huge purchase. Make certain you have a list of questions for your forklift dealer and be really truthful regarding what the requirements of business are when you are talking about the facts with a reliable dealer.
